Tequila Sierra is a special drink that is produced; from overripe, literally flowing juice of blue agave fruit grown in the state of Jalisco, near its capital - the city of Guadalajara, at an altitude of 1,500 m above sea level. Only professionals from generation to generation work on the agave fields and take care of the whole process from planting to harvesting. Agave is cooked for 12 hours under high pressure and another 12 hours at low temperature, followed by a soft squeeze of the juice. The resulting agave liquid is twice distilled in large copper vats and alcohol with a high alcohol content is obtained, which is diluted with pure, repeatedly purified spring water. After that, the tequila is poured into bottles or barrels for further aging.
